About Courtney:

Courtney is originally from Greenville, NC, and she is super excited to be back in Eastern North Carolina! Courtney graduated from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Religious Studies. During her time at WFU, Courtney was a volunteer Young Life leader at both East Forsyth High School and R.J. Reynolds High School, held officer positions in Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, was a resident adviser, and interned with two grassroots nonprofit organizations. Her goal as a college adviser is to empower students to realize Marianne Williamson’s thoughts in the poem “Our Deepest Fear” (fun fact – she has a poster of this poem in her office!): “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.”
